This is a atrocity within the human culture. There is something definitely going on in the mind of a 94 year old man to have murdred his landlord, and he cannot give a consciousnes explanation of a reason why he took Mr. Gupta's life, a man who has been Mr. Spillmans' landlord for more than 30 years. This case points out the psycological behavior of Mr. Spillman. Was this person, fit to be living alone among society at his age, if his health was declining? This is the very reason why some of the elderly people should be place in Assisted Living Facilities. It still does not constitute the murder of Mr. Gupta. I am merely stating my own opinion, society is at a postition where they should start lookig more closely at its elderly and their capabilities in living among society when they do not have mental stability to care for themselves. This man is 94. and the lost life was 64, and a businessman, husband, father and friend. There is now this built division of emotions, anger and annimosity of wanting Mr. Spillman who happens to be 94, to spend the rest of his days behind bars. There is no denial stemming from witness account that Mr. Spillman took the life of this well known businessmen. The truth to this case is not one person will ever know the reason behind the slaying of this man; due to the age of the murder suspect, it maybe the hinderence in this case. I do not call this justice. The mind of Mr. Spillman "appears" to be in stages of senility from his earlier interrogation. All the system will have is someone saying, "yes, you have committed an act of violence upon another human being" to Mr. Spillman. It is a very sad lost of human life of another family's loved one. Violence is a destruction in the races of people. I feel for the family of the decease and for this 94 year old man, who may not have any family, to offer him support. The support of conversation.
