This is a good thing the trib is doing for his family, clarifying any (neg.) misconceptions pertaining to Mr. Gupta, the relationship his family had w/ the tenant/suspect and what possibly led to his demise (from the investigative report). Not everyone is analytical enough to read in between the lines or logical enough to seperate logic from bull**** when indulging w/ the media.
In baffling scenarios or articles w/ a multiplicity of interrelated elements some are too quick to jump to conclusions w/ out thoroughly reading the article or patiently examining the facts. Conclusions which lead to opinions hurtful to the either suspect or victim, their loved ones and sometimes even damaging to certain communities. With this knowledge, detectives are sometimes considerate enough to provide the media w/ their own personal opinion based on professional experience, 'or/and' info not yet available to the public. Regardless that it may be the most crucial relevant statement in the entire article, I find it amazing how a handful completely overlook it when it has to do w/ a youth, a person of color or someone not considered an upstanding citizen. Somehow, what I don't find amazing is how the trib flipped from their usual portrayal of suspects, such as in this case, Frank being nothing but an evil, disillusioned trigger-happy nutcase in the first article to suddenly a lowly, needy favorite tenant warmly embraced by the family in this article. All in favor to show extreme consideration & respect for a murdered adult's family w/ an immediate follow up article (not a Special Report a year later) elaborating on his good deeds and kind words for the suspect while attempting to clarify any misconceptions we may have had. Whatever age or level in society, the family of murdered victims all feel grief and humiliation when the image of their loved ones is misconstrued in the media
