FIrst of all, with as many people as Mario has ripped-off with predatory loans and fraud deals surprise-surprise that someone in the community doesn't like him. I read about him at this website: www.theRealMarioJuarez.wordpress.com
The real story is all those poor people that he stole from. Maybe the chickens are coming home to roost.
On the other hand, maybe Juarez did it HIMSELF to get attention for his dying campaign. I mean, who would be stupid enough to damage his storefront WITH A BIG SURVEILLANCE CAMERA STARING THEM RIGHT IN THE FACE!! Why doesn't Mario, or the police, just look at the tape from the surveillance camera installed right above his front door, that was installed BY THE POLICE?! Or did he turn it off, on purpose?

Fake, Bogus, self inflicted wound to attract attention, so he can get on his soapbox and pronounce "I will not be silenced." What a Ham.

Something smells about this story. First, Ignacio's office windows were smashed a month ago, and nobody cared (maybe because he didn't hold a whiny press conference). Second, the article never mentions any of the reasons why people in Fruitvale don't like Mr. Juarez - the allegations of sexual harassment and predatory lending are out there, why doesn't the Trib mention them when they are very relevant? Third, as one of the commenters above pointed out, there's a surveillance camera aimed right at Juarez's office: why wasn't the tape shared? The camera was installed by Ignacio after Juarez's windows were broken several times last year.
This article, through these glaring omissions, seems more than a little biased. But why expect better from the Trib?
