
That's sad. I don't know the area, but it appears to be very dangerous just crossing the street these days.

My Father had a similar situation when we lived there and that was over 20 years ago. When I was a kid this old man was always all over the place on his bicycle, he had grey hair and a long beard, for years I would see him on Stevenson and by the Hub and Fremont blvd, just everywhere all the time and one day he was hit and killed by a driver and that was in the early 70's......

Just look at the demographics of the city. You have a 50/50 chance of getting hit on any street at any given time. I've lived in Fremont for just over 10 years now and travel often for work. Fremont's drivers are by far the worst I've seen in this country and close to what I have seen in my travels to the Far East. There should be a law that requires common sense when applying for a drivers license.

The law in the East bay should be you hit any old person with car you get the CHAIR one question's asked.
