First off congrats to the entire team for playing their hearts out today.

Things I noticed.

** Fargas - On the Raider home page they have a vote on who was the biggest contributor in the Raiders win over the Eagles. The entire defense played great but I was surprised of all the people listed Justin Fargas wasn't in the poll. Fargas played a great game, even in these tough Raider times that guy runs with passion and always welcomes hard contact. What a game he had.

**Zach Miller - This guy has a knack for finding holes in the defense. I'm so impressed by this guy. Every time he makes a big play he seems to get better...just another fabulous game.

**Raider Defense and play calling - The reason we won that game was purely the defense. Great blitzing schemes (hope to see more often), outstanding quarterback pressure, hard hitting, good coverage downfield and great tackling. Even when the offense failed towards the end of the game and the defense needed to make a second stop they came through. As long as the Raiders can continue to balance the time of possession battle, these guys will excel.

**Offensive Line - Great job with the exception of a few hiccups. Good run blocking and good job at giving Russell time to throw the football.

**JaMarcus Russell - Much better pocket awareness today. A few times he felt pressure and ran or dumped the ball off to Gary Russell which worked out well. Two interceptions, one a tipped ball, the other though was a floater (quack, quack)...those work best in back of the end zone or sideline. I still think he should take off all that bling (so we aren’t reminded on how much he is being overpaid) until the Raider offense can be better that 4-14 on 3rd downs as they were today.  A key part of the problem is Russell still isn't throwing to the wide receivers!.......why not? He needs to learn to move his head left and right while in the pocket.  I did like the shotgun formation....I think that does help him.

**Receivers - Great blocking downfield by Murphy...he proved to me on that 1st game against San Diego and ever since that he is passionate about the game. Watkins and Murphy had some big drops and they really haven't improved much in that category. Also, I agree with the fox commentator today that Murphy running the hook patterns should have been driving towards the football when the coverage was tight.

**Special Teams - Outstanding job. Lechler and Janakoski were perfect. Kick coverage was excellent. Higgins has to do a better job of holding the football.

**Coaching/Play calling - Defensively outstanding. One thing though, if they are double teaming Seymour perhaps on passing downs (3rd and <5) shift Seymour from the right side to the left side. This could really mix up the offensive line assignments and possibly get a double team on the non Seymour side of the D-Line. For the offense, I really like the call on 3rd and short to play action pass with both backs going left which set up Murphy wide open on the right side...unfortunately, the combination of Murphy slipping and Russell's poorly underthrown ball sent the Raider defense right on the field. If Russell continues to fail at looking at the wide receivers perhaps it's best to put Hayward-Bey in the slot and run him on slant patterns (Russell needs a Tim Brown pattern receiver in my opinion) to free up Zach Miller from getting all of the safety's attention. If we are going to keep playing Russell...than tailor the offense for him a little by having the receivers work the middle of the field (i.e. where Russell actually looks).

**Fox Sports/commentators - I thought these guys did a great job today. Not the usual idiot/unbiased Raider hater CBS commentators. These guys talked intelligently throughout the game and were not afraid to point out a bad call on the field. They displayed good history segments from both teams that I enjoyed. Thanks Fox Sports.
