I live in Castro Valley and enjoy shopping in San Leandro, but am definitely having second thoughts lately.

My car was stolen from San Leandro BART last September. It was a major nightmare dealing with the police, but that is a whole other story.

My 13 year old daughter and I were accosted one evening while shopping and were quite frightened. Luckily, another gentleman shopping at the store escorted us to our car and safety.

I feel very unsafe in San Leandro these days and am avoiding shopping there, especially after dark.
