The auto shop that caused the $1M fire is Speed Element Performance LLC. Various sources say they were storing large quantities of racing fuel and did not have the appropriate permits for storing such flammables at the premises. Also a search discovered that the shop is not insured, nor are they licensed to operate as a repair shop by the BAR. (State BAR license database: http://www.bar.ca.gov/70_SiteWideInfo/02_Tools/03_VerifyLicense.html )
So the question is, what were they doing operating with no insurance and without the proper permits? There are accidents and there is negligence. I think this case is the latter of the two.

If they had no legal right to be in business then they need to be held liable and enjoy all the new butt buddies they will have no choice but to endure as they pay their debt to society....They were criminally responsible or just stupid?
