It's wasn't my first time there, I'm a bit of a regular now, but it was my first time for the intermediate lessons. Brian teaches jitterbug technically, but there's no rule about what style you can use after the lessons. Full aerials are banned though, for good reason. As mentioned, safety is important. No one wants a lawsuit or to be hit by a stray heel. (You know, doing what you can to "stop the war on fun".)

For those willing to head to San Francisco, the El Rio in SF is every 1st and 3rd Tuesday. And Bowie Ball is on 8/14 at the Great American Music Hall. There are multiple instructors and styles on that day and I'm looking forward to it. The website and social networks are probably best ways to find the locations, times, updates, reminders, etc.
