wife beater?-not that it's acceptable, but didn't he slap her after he found her cheating on him? And, why now do they seek to press charges? Sounds like a perfect opportunity some lawyers took up to investigate his past and exploit his recent events. What comes around goes around-one way or another.
regardless, Cable's not going anywhere...I don't see anybody who would take his place. He's doing exactly what Davis wants. Davis is behind Russell, and that's that. I think it'll end after this season. Regardless, we'll be bringing in a proven vet QB2. I'm expecting a GM, to save what's left of this business that's crumbling fast. Don't know much about that area, but I'm expecting a move back to LA to pep things up in a couple years and save the franchise. Sad.
I just want my Raiders to start winning again and give people something to believe in-as pathetic as it may be. I want my Raiders back.

C'mon maaaan, are you guys serious? The Raiders are one game behind the niners...BUT I DON'T READ YOU WRITING AN ARTICLE LIKE "MAYBE ITS TIME FOR THE 49ERS TO ASSESS THE VALUE OF THEIR SINGELTARY SLUMP" . Cable has a mental Infant for a quarterback, and rookie wideouts with hands of stone. Not to mention (like the 49ers have just been "ROCKED BY INJURIES") the Raiders have been missing Gallery and schilenz for pretty much the whole season. Give the guy a break instead of trying to end the mans career early. Because if some how your articles (which they won't) get through to Al Davis and he fires Cable, you clowns will be writing about how another Raiders COACH BITES THE DUST, how unstable they are, and how nobody can stand the Raiders long enough to stay there for more than two seasons etc. etc. Let this team grow, and keep Cable's personal life from 20 years ago out of the sports section. The majority of sports fans really could care less if cable slapped his wife 6 years removed from high school. People make mistakes. When I was in Middle school and High School I used to look forward to reading your articles (Monte), on the Raiders, the crummy Cal bears, the horrible warriors, or the swingin A's, because you could make all of those teams sound interesting and really bring the teams to life. But you guys have become so shallow ,sometimes I feel like I'm reading a script from TMZ or Entertainment tonight. Get off the bandwagon, and get back to the stuff in between the lines, even if the product you're writing about is not the best. Sports are supposed to be a way people can get there minds off the worries and stress of everyday life, but that seems to be all you guys want to write about and emphasize. You could at least have poked fun at the Giants for us Raiders fans after they talked smack and got beat with the whooping stick the past three weeks in a row. GET CREATIVE, CHEER US UP, WRITE SPORTS, DO YOUR JOB!!!!! All our bay area teams suck, and the one team that doesn't (Sharks ) can't get past the first round of the playoffs. It's easy to write about good sports teams and make the article fun and interesting, but can you do it when times are hard? I hear there's an opening for the National Enquirer, you guys should look into it.

Now you've got Raider fans apologizing for woman beaters. There's no end to it. The franchise, the fans, and most certainly Al Davis deserve all of the misery that's coming to them, and it's plenty. 2-6 at the bye, AGAIN! HA ha ha ha !!!!!

Cam, please tell me your kidding me. Where are we going with this society. A person does something 20 years ago and now we want to end his career? Are you really ready to go down this slippery slope? I wonder, when I called a white classmate of mine a "Peckerwood" during a heated argument, does this mean I should resign my job at this point because I am a racist in those of you that have these powerful bully pulpits? By the way I've been out of high school for at least 25years. It is a shame I have to tell my kids...who by the way are half irish and black, that you cant make any mistakes because it will bite you in the [bleep] 20 years later. And I mean NO MISTAKES!!!! Cam, I know there is a lot of competition for you so called journalist, I mean with the Internet and 500 channels of cable news, you guys have to get the public's attention somehow, but be responsible please! For the sake of the children, Cam, the children!

I guess from now on all HC's need to be vetted like political candidates. Sad but that's what the writers in the Bay Area has done. The good thing is Crazy Al can careless what you idiot writers write. He'll do things his way.

Face it Cam, it's a game for you and quite a few other Bay area writers. Let' see what we can stir up in Alameda. ESPN gets the ball rolling, and all of you fall all over yourselves to perpetuate the issue. You all remind me of Fox *News.* Your agenda is with Al Davis, not Tom Cable, but you're not going to show any deference to Cable's side of the story as long as you feel you can stick the knife in the Raiders organization. It stops being news when you attach an agenda to it.
Y'all loved Kiffin because he leaked stories to you guys constantly in the latter part of his tenure. He was all about Lance and not the football team he was coaching. I don't care where you coach, you betray your players when you do that. Now here you are trying to sell what a magnificent job he's doing in Tennessee. He's 4-4, and he's continued his court jester ways there.
I believe the Raiders will only succeed when Al Davis steps down. All I want for Christmas is Gruden and Bruce Allen, and al Davis watching from home. But I'm not going to attack the entire organization or try to tear down a good man for mistakes deep in his past. You didn't accept the DA's decision not to prosecute Cable because it was at odds with you point of view, so you questioned it. Regardless of a writer's ability, You become a hack when you give up your integrity. You didn't have far to fall you hack.

welll said silvernbleez..well said..i really cant speak for cable cuz the man is doing all he can for the team but at the same time you can't change all the BS he has to get from al davis..it is what it is..until that day j marc takes responsibility for his mistakes then we well be a better team...honestly i've never heard any QB not taking blame for his own mistakes..as far as the cable man troubles goes..it has nothing to do with something that has happened recently..far as we know, hanson probably paid those [bleep]s to speak up and make some crap up..as of right now..we need to figure out how to get this team going..why haven't we been talkin about javon walker? we been payin this bum all this dough to sit on the bench while he should be out there coaching and helping these young wide receivers out..all im saying is that we need to start throwing all this dead weight out and start bringing in more productive and inspiring vets..you remember how tim brown kept us on track and how jerry rice brought us back to the promise land? thats what we need..we need a veteran leader within the offensive side..seymour can do his part in the defensive side but we need someone to bring back the pride and soul to our offense..no more ints, fumbles and 3-outs..we need to start moving the chains god dammit..i'm always going to be a raider reguardless of how much criticizing i do..i'm just tired of seeing this slump we've gone through after that superbowl [bleep]!..RAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIDERRRRZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!
