I am the parent of a 12 year old boy who attends Newark Jr. High. I was highly alarmed by a short article published in the September 5th Argus about a suspicious person attempting to lure a teenage boy into his vehicle on August 31st. As most parents would, I looked for more information on this incident. There was a Newark Police watch bullentin hidden in the news section of the school's web site. I say hidden because the parents I contacted did not know the information was there. I believe the information should have been more prominently displayed for all parents to see. Further, no letters were sent out to parents infroming them of this incident. I did attempt to email my son's vice principle and also left him a voice mail regarding this issue but I've yet to get a response. One would think after the highly published kidnapping and child molest case in Unincorprated Contra Costa County. A school would be more proactive. Respectfully Mark J Ammerman
