Thank goodness someone is trying to protect children. From the looney left's local support of Yousef Bey (who was a child pimp and poverty pimp) and ACORN (who got caught red-handed trying to support a pimp's enterprise), to Hollywood's Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen excusing their buddy's [bleep] rape of a 13-year old; one would think that nobody cared about the sexual harm of children.

I am glad for any harsher punishment for this crime. However the following piece of hyperbole needs substantiation:
"For criminal entrepreneurs, there is sadly no better economic return then that of selling a child for sex. It has been said that the sexual exploitation of minors might soon exceed drugs and guns as the largest criminal contribution to GDP," said Deputy District Attorney Sharmin Eshragi Bock, who heads the human trafficking division at the District Attorney's Office.

Bock's comment, "It has been said.... " regarding human trafficking mean nothing, she does not even quote a source. What utter BS. How often do you actually read about human trafficking? There seem to be several cases a year, I do not deny it. There are pimps with underage girls working for them, no doubt about it. Hardly some huge piece of the criminal economy. Out of a total of 1.3 M people in the county where she works as a prosecutor, how many successful prosecutions are there every year. The office Bock works in, Alameda County Family Justice Center, is known for putting out false statistics in it's press releases and being headed by two political climbers, DA Nancy O'Malley and Bill Lockyer' vampirette young wife Nadia. All a big show folks.
