Granting benefits to people who are here illegally will only encouraging higher illegal immigrants and more births, therefore adding more potential jobseekers, students, patients, drivers and users of all sorts of expensive social services.

Aren't Oakland, California, and the U.S. already broke? Where is the City of Oakland going to find fiscal resources for additional people or illegal migrants since many program cuts have already affected U.S.-born citizens and existing legal immigrants?  Instead of voting for ID cards for illegals, isn't only responsible to pass a resolution urging President Obama and Congress to immediately enact some of immigration moratorium and also seriously work on reducing teen pregnancies?
