The Oakland City Council, the Mayor, our Congressional Representative Barbara Lee and the Oakland Tribune should all officially recognize and give an award  at a public ceremony to OPD officer Jim Saleda for his role in protecting  society's most vulnerable women and children.  It's time for elected public offically to step out publically and put their political principles into practice.
