Over the last 6 years, the Oakland Raiders have been methodically destroyed; turned from one of the most respected franchises in the NFL into the single-most laughable one.

We are in the midst of a stretch of the worst losing % in NFL history. The last 6 years are the most horrendous for a single team. The blame for this embarassment lies directly at the top with Al Davis. This man is stuck in the past. Rather than hire the people who know how to run a NFL franchise, Al has decided to treat all of these hires as puppets, and make all of the business/game decisions by himself.

As a fan, I have been a season ticket holder for multiple years. This year, I finally decided that rather than show up every week to see them beaten handily by each visiting team, I chose to save my money, and keep my sanity by not showing up. I've even waited to bring my son to his first Raiders game, until the team improves. This does not look possible in the foreseeable future.

So, I have decided to take the money that I normally spend on season tickets, and invest them into a fund for purchasing ad-space in the Oakland Tribune. The total cost of the space is $4500. $2000 of which will come out of my own pocket.

I am asking all Raiders fans to each donate $10 to make up the difference. This letter will be posted in the Oakland Tribune on a Sunday, making a huge statement from ALL members of the Raider Nation, near and far. I ask you to not only donate to this cause, but please pass this post along to every Raiders fan you know, who feels the same as we do.

NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL WE STEP UP AND DEMAND IT!!!!!!!!!

I have set up a Paypal account for the donations. As soon as the fund reaches $4500, I will place the order with the Tribune, and will share the publishing date with each of you.
