What about Dennis Greene? Isn't he an old Davis cohort? And if Tom the Cable guy did commit domestic violence against a former Wife or Girlfriend why wasn't it dealt with at the time it happened? Or was it dealt with? ESPN hasn't reported that because in their quest to bust a story they simply "overlooked" those minor facts. If it was dealt with by the offended party it's a done deal . If the offended party never reported it until she could obtain National attention shame on her. I am NOT supporting spousal violence, or violence toward anyone, Male or Female. Sensationalist Media types enjoy throwing gasoline on a Train Wreck because it makes for a bigger,"better" story , which seems to be what is currently developing in regard to the Raiders , and Cable in particular. Yes, the Raiders will have a new Coach shortly. All of the above are in the hunt and with Mr. Davis in control it won't matter who wins the title, Mr. Davis will run the team. For ESPN and their fans who have Direct TV, I invite you to tune to and enjoy channel 262 "The Soap Network". 1000's of story lines for future use in your articles.

Dennis Green only had that one good year with the Vikings and it was ALL downhill from there, what the hell has he done ever since, now Tony Dungy is an excellent choice but that is a pipe dream.

This is what I'm talking about, make the stuff interesting!!! Peter, you're on top of it, great story man. Even though you're talking about Cable getting fired (more bad news), at least you didn't try to dig deep into his private life, and go SHRINK MODE like INMAN. Poole has written some great articles on bay area sports in the past, but when it comes to writing about the Raiders he starts getting all political/conspiracy theorist/ dark/depressing. I know they've sucked for the past six years but dude it's just sports. Keep it interesting, I'd rather read the articles on your guys' section of the paper because people are getting raped and murdered, or our soldiers are getting bombed in Afghanastan throughout the rest of the newspaper. Gives me some fun debate material for work at break time
