I watched the story of the 1980 Raiders this weekend on ESPN and it told how they had missed the play offs in 1978 and 1979 and they added 15 new players and were picked to come in last place. But they went on to win the Super Bowl that year. While watching this it sounded a lot like this year, so it is very possible we can make the play offs

It is illegal to smoke crack in this country last time I checked. Are you out of your mind? We are lucky to win 5-games in 2008. Playoffs? What are you a niner fan? I am sitting here with my season tickets hoping to just make the parking lot on time to tail-gate and you are saying we're gonna make the playoffs? Have another beer and get a new girl friend. All the Raiders need is for Jamarcus to be average or a C+ at best and they will make the playoffs.  Its all on him, as long as he's smart and doesn't turn the ball over excessively the Raiders will be back in the playoffs granted they remain mostly healthy as a team GUARANTEED!!!!!!

The Raiders actually had enough talent the year they had Aaron Brooks as qb and Moss. The only way they make the playoffs this season is if the offense changes. Need more swing passes, screens (wr and rb), 3 step drops, slants and, shotgun formations. I don't care what any of you say, but, the best defense comes from a ball and clock controlling offense. No defense plays well when the offense is 1 down 2 down 3 down punt on 4th (if you're lucky). The 7 step drop the Raiders were trying to run with Brooks was outdated and predictable. Change the offense and they make the playoffs. They also should've re-signed Culpepper.

I can not go that far only because we will not have enough (virtualy none) good quality backups, which are necessary, along with a great deal of luck, to get to the playoffs in the N.F.L. The Raiders should have won many more games than they did the last five seasons givin the players they had. Not every team with a better record than the Raiders necessarily had better players, just more motivated players, and better coaching staffs! We have released/traded several marginal players over this off-season which equals addition by subtraction! We have imported one bad apple (in my opinion) in Javon Walker, but that situation may resolve itself as he seems likely to not make the team as his play has been a BIG dissapointment to all thus far, and i do not see him improving. Our coaching staff is much improved and i believe is up to the challange. I see 7-8-9 wins  possible if all shakes out favorible to Our beloved Raiders!

What a bunch of losers you guys are. Are you seriously trying to rally behind some bit*h a*s receiver who whined about not being number one in Denver so they cut him after he missed basically his third full season with yet another knee injury?! And then after grandma glasses Al Davis signs him to one of the most lucrative WR contracts in the league?! Then the guy goes out to vegas to celebrate and gets his [bleep] beat and his face blasted!! What a joke!! Then the guy wants to retire and you guys stop him and beg him to play for you??!!    HA HA HA HA HA HA!!  The Black Hole is right--that's where all of your franchise's money goes, right into a black freaking hole!!!   JaMarcus Russell, holdout king is just now learning how to play in the NFL after Daunte had to try and shoulder your pathetic franchise last year. I bet you guys would have done a lot better over the years if grandma Al had just given Gruden the money he deserved (that was like the funniest Super Bowl ever--Gruden made you guys his bit*h--HA HA HA HA!!!). I guess I should stop bringing up old stuff, maybe if I do you guys will bring up how Madden used to whip the Donkeys--30 years ago!!   HAHAHAHA!!!  Oh man, what a hilariously entertaining franchise you guys have. Good luck on Monday night losers.

What the heck are you smoking man?!! The Raiders will make the playoffs??! If I had my own 3 hour radio show, this would be the part where I que the tape, "Playoffs? Playoffs?!! You wanna talk about playoffs?!!" I really should go ahead and let you think that the Raiders will be able to make the palyoffs, it would make me much happier for you to suffer through an agonizing year with such lofty ambitions. But I'll spare you, the Raiders have no shot at making the playoffs. I repeat, no shot. There's no way the Raiders will be able to get a wild card berth, in fact, I'd be amazed if they finish at .500.  I actually hope that you guys improve enough to make this a real rivalry again. I can't stand the Chargers and that cocky loudmouth Philip Rivers, but they're the team to beat. The Broncos have come up embarassingly short for a while now, I think D Mac gives you guys a better matchup, so I really hope your team proves me wrong.
