What a biased, inaccurate and downright false depiction of US and world history and of US motivations in its military adventures and involvements the world over. Just ask the people who lived under the US-supported Somoza dictatorship. How about the 30,000 dead peasants who died when a l930's coup d-etat in El Salvador took place of driving the progressive governor of Arbenz out in a military backed coup. How about the US sponsored assassination of Patrice Lumamba on the African which brought down the first elected African government of the Congo freed from the colonial rule of the Dutch? Furthermore, the Cold War after WWI when the US and other Western powers invaded the former Soviet Union and tried to destroy their revolution causing much devastation and the famine that followed which they later blamed on Stalin. And even during WWII the US was more worried about Soviet influence than in invading the Nazi death camps as we advanced into Europe. Truman dropped the bomb on Japan as a warning to the Soviets to comply with US post--WWII division of the spoils. This is a fairytale depiction of history obscuring the true nature of US intervention around the world up to the present day when we want to control an oil pipelines running thru Afghanistan.
