So, not only is the 19 year old gay, but he's also a crazy murderous jerk that nearly killed several innocent people! Well, the mother of the 20 year old should have not been so "supportive" of her son's gay lifestyle. (Heres a hint: next time give back the gifts and maybe the break-up won't result in the "break-up of others) I thought "Gay People" were supposed to be happy, kind, sensitive and tolerent? Guess we don't have to worry about these two guys wanting to overturn Prop 8, since they won't be headed down the road to marriage any time soon. Perhaps they can get couples counseling from that women that pretends to be a pastor in Hayward that tried to push her homosexual agenda on the students in Castro Valley. Maybe she can help them come to terms with their gayness. One thing for sure: the 19 year old is going to have plenty of opportunities to make some new "friends" while he's at Santa Rita and eventually in prison. I'm sure he will be really "popular" with all the guys. Justice may still prevail in this case!

How tragically uninformed of you to claim that jerk's being gay is the root of his idiotic violence. As if that crazy car wreck would've been prevented if only he was a heterosexual man? Are you so blind you haven't noticed that every week (if not every day) we have to hear of yet another woman murdered (or attempted murdered) by her man somewhere here in the bay area? Domestic violence in our country adds up to over 1000 women each year killed by their men = sociopaths who weren't content to just be a civil part of the over 50% divorce rate among heterosexuals. How about you come up with yet another sappy disinformed stereotype about men's human nature to explain that?

I do agree with you on part of your comment. Yes, it is true, that far too many men greatly abuse women, inflicting great physical and emotional harm and pain. No woman should ever be abused by any person (man or woman). Domestic violence is on the rise, you will get no argument from me there, and everything that can possibly be done to protect women against such abuse should be done. I also believe that divorce in the U.S. is far to high, but a woman that is abused should be able to get in on a fast track to divorce, secure a restraining order and both parties should move on.
But, as far as gays are concerned, I really wouldn't care if they do each other in, so long as there are no innocent straight bystanders affected. As far as I'm concerned, they would be doing all of us a favor.
