Yes, I too am a loyal, diehard Raider Fan. Have to get NFL ticket to watch them, but today, in the Memphis area, they decided to show the game on local TV (guess because of the interest here in Eli, and the Giants), at least until the half. Second half they switched to the Lions vs Steeler game. We are the laughing stock of the entire NFL, even over Detroit. Boomer was making fun of again today, and rightfully so. Everone knows Davis runs the team, and that Cable is nothing more than a "yes man" to Davis, who has no gonads to make a decision. If he did, he would bench Russell, the worse player I have seen at a QB position in years. We have two backup QB's that can outplay Russell now. I am sooooooooooooo tired of rooting for a team like ours that sucks as much as we do. Why I keep thinking each week something new is going to happen is beyond me. I really, really wish someone from the Raider organization would post a comment as to what in the hell are they doing, and why.

It is hard to blame Russell. He has had 3 different coach's in his 3 years, no veteran receiver, no offensive line, slacker running backs.I don't care who you have at QB. If your line cannot block, and your team cant run a little, and the receivers don't run routes properly, AND cant catch. And the man on the sidelines calling the plays has no idea what he is doing....and the D cant stop the run, or you only have one CB who can cover his man....Hey..Football is a TEAM effort....It looks like the players don't even care. They played hard the first game of the season, but i fear the worst......AGAIN..I love the Raiders, and have been a fan since I was 8...and in all my 41 years of watching them, since 2002...this has been a horrible team. I will still root, but not watch until Al Davis goes away!!!!!

I agree, it is hard to blame it all on Russell. The Raiders are so bad on so many levels the only thing that will really work at this point is a change of ownership or some miraculous change in the way Al Davis operates his team. Clearly his micromanagement style has been an overwhelming failure now for many years.

Yes, I agree that you can't get a fair assessement of Russell because the supporting cast is so bad. But, if anyone had doubt of Davis' ability to run an NFL franchise I surely hope you can read the writing on the wall now! The Raiders basically CAN NOT COMPETE within the NFL. They are, without a doubt, BADLY COACHED, and whether they have the talent to compete is up for debate. One has to lay the blame squarely on Davis' shoulders, as he is responsible for the hiring of the head coach/OC who everyone knows would'nt even warrant consideration as an OC on any other NFL team! Need more evidence? How about Davis comparing Cable to a young John Madden!!! Boy, did he get that wrong!
One ray of hope is that Bay Area fans have FINALLY begun to use their only means of voicing displeasure over the sorry state of this team. Which is to not waste their money on an inferior product, which is exactly what this Raiders organization is at the moment. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND ANY MORE RAIDERS GAMES! Even senile AL Davis has to comprehend that there is a problem when he sees the stadium half empty.
RAIDER fan since 1972, but have been fed up with the team's sad state since 2006.

Yes I too am a long time fan since 1974 the glory years. Its a real shame to suffer through so many bad decisions as part of the ownership. We as fans deserve much more than watching AL fight with ROSELLE and the league in general, so many years of termoil and venom from a coach to owner a self implied renegade. Guess what AL the leaguge has out grown you you do not posess the power you had 30 years ago sure you can still make bone head decisions in general HEYWARD-BAY? over Crabtree, Or fire a coach (CHUCKY) who made a laughing stock out of you the last time our team looked like a team, And even keep a junior college quarter back on the field even after the game was decided before half time. Please do us FANS a real favor the general managing partner SELL your stock and continue your impression of Howard Hughes and go away!

Today was almost unwatchable. The sickness knowing that the Giants would convert a 3rd and 24 almost made me turn it off and this was early in the game. You cannot run a 59 1/2 minute defense and expect to win any game. The most frustrating part is watching Russell return each time to the bench and worried that the logo on his stupid hat is right rather than getting the photos of the defense (not that it matters). Living in Biloxi Ms, I picked this year of all times to finally see a Raiders game in Oakland. I looked at the schedule and deicded the Redskins game would be the greatest chance to see a win. Maybe the Skins plane will be delayed and they have to play a local high school.
I've seen first hand Saints fans be the laughing stock of the NFL. Their advantage was at least they made paper bags then, you'll suffocate trying to use plastic!!!

I support the Raiders since 1972, I heard comments about the team, the ownership and the fans for which I am. Al Davis has crazy and bit puzzling moves over the years. He's like Abe Pollin of the Washington Bullets,Errrrr Wizards, glory days in the past. Al give it up, Jerry Jones, Dan Synder destroy their teams to a point of destruction(high ticket prices, food costs, overpriced parking and low esteem of the team) I have a T-Shirt of Al taken a leak on the NFL. Now its the other way. How unfornate! Comments in the paper here on th east coast, as well as on TV and radio knows that you and the front office need to pack, roll out, retire from ownership of this once proud and noble team. Coach Madden knew when to give up and now that clock ticking ever louder that I hear it from your office to my home here on the east coast. Never to waver from the Raiders, the owner I will say "That clock tolls not us but it toll for thee." Let this organization become once proud again. Bid the Raiders farewell, Al. Its to go now!

I understand what some of you are saying, it is a team effort, and yes, our "team" is bad, at all levels. However, everyone knows that the quarterback is the leader of any team, and Russell is not a leader, plain and simple. Too many others (who know alot more than I) are saying this too, every week. He does not put in the time to learn, nor apply himself to be a leader. He is sitting back, raking in his $30 mill that is guaranteed. He has all the ability in the world, but falls short between the ears.

Davis flipping owns the team so he's not going anywhere until he freaking dies. So who has to go for the team to even start to improve. Cable or the JaMark?
